Greetings Black Rose enthusiasts!

Coming up this wednesday 21st of July we have a fundraiser screening for the Institut A Infohouse in Jakarta.

Institut A has been running since September 2009, and is the first infoshop/social centre of its kind in Indonesia. They have been running amazing things out of the space in the last year including a book and zine library, free English classes, re-cycling workshops, film screenings, vegetarian cafe, and a weekly women’s space. They have also hosted numerous workshops and discussions, benefit gigs, and book/zine/journal launchings, and all this on top of the major renovations they did to the house just to get it off the ground.

Peoples kitchen will feed at 7pm as always, and then at 7:30 we will be showing 2 films:

(Tijidurian 19: Seized Culture House. A documentary about the Lekra artists during the suharto regime)
